Plant description:

This large shrub is one of the finest background and specimen foliage plants available. The leaves are magnolia like, thick, shiny and bright green, and it forms a dense, rounded crown. Bunches of small, white flowers appear in spring and are followed by purple-black berries which ripen in autumn. It has a slow growth rate while young, but grows much faster with age. It can be used as a hedge, but also makes an excellent tub subject.
