Plant description:
Once grown for its lovely evening fragrance, the tobacco plant was not very decorative. Nowadays, more compact, colourful varieties are available, albeit with a weaker fragrance. Trumpet-like flowers come in red, pink, lime and white. Sow seed during spring in trays or directly, and do not cover. Space seedlings 250mm apart. They should flower 12–14 weeks after germination.
