Plant description:
A compact, upright shrub with sharp, pointed branches. Green foliage with cream-coloured flecks makes an interesting contrast in conifer groupings. ‘Kaizuka’ (Hollywood juniper; 4 x 2m), a pale green, fine-foliaged conifer, is slow growing, loosely branched and upright. ‘Mint Julep’ (1.5 x 1m), mint-green and bushy, has a spreading habit with growth tips that tend to weep. It makes a fine garden subject and is suitable for background planting and screening. Treat it as a shrub in a general garden layout. ‘Old Gold’ (1 x 0.5m) is cup-shaped, its layered foliage giving it a waterfall effect. It is a slow grower, with new growth turning from bright yellow to pale green. Highly recommended for most gardens. Depending on the conditions, it is very similar to ‘Gold Coast’. ‘Pfitzeriana Aurea’ (2 x 4m) has beautiful, feathery, golden-yellow foliage in summer and green-gold foliage in winter. It is cup-shaped with weeping branches, and is drought resistant.
