Plant description:
Small perennial shrub bearing bright pink flowers in summer, but dormant in winter. Tolerates short periods of drought. Related S. pilosum var. pringlei ‘Blue Wonder’ (±800mm) bears sprays of light blue flowers. ‘Monte Casino’ has needle-like foliage with small white flowers in summer. Both make excellent cut flowers. Might also be found under the older name Aster ericoides.
