Plant description:
An attractive shrub or small tree with narrow, elliptic, shiny leaves with serrated margins. it bears pale yellow flowers that appear in spring and are followed by black fruits with red, persistent sepals. Ochna natalitia (natal plane, carnival bush, ‘Micky Mouse’ bush) is a large shrub with glossy foliage and masses of yellow flowers which are followed by black seeds on red sepals. it makes a good container subject.
