In spring, this plant produces masses of double white flowers, tinged rose on the outside. It is ideal for ‘old style’ gardens. D. monbeigii ‘Mont Rose’ has a graceful habit and large trusses of mauve-pink flowers. D. gracilis (slender deutzia) is smaller, with masses of white flowers appearing in spring and summer.
