Multifloras produce masses of medium-sized flowers. They are tolerant of strong winds and heavy rain. Popular cultivars include the Carpet™ and Primetime ™ series, the latter being a doubleflowering range. Grandifloras produce many large flowers, but are not as tolerant of adverse weather conditions. Available cultivars are the Supermagic™, Dream™, Ultra™, Daddy™ and Storm™ series, while Supercascades™ are ideal for hanging baskets and containers. Storm™ petunias have been specially cultivated to withstand bad weather. • Floribundas bear lots of large flowers with good weather resistance. Mirage™ is a popular floribunda cultivar. Millifloras are neat, compact plants with masses of small flowers, making them good for pots and containers, as well as bedding plants. Cultivars include the Fantasy™ series. •Supertunias are a new collection of lowgrowing, compact floriferous perennial petunias that are resistant to pests and diseases. Cultivars include Merlot™, Pretty Much Picasso™, Raspberry Blast™ and Vista Bubblegum™.
